Private Whisky, Gin & Beer Tour From Inverness

0
  • 8 Hours
  • Max Guests : 7
  • Difficulty : 1/10
  • Distance : 60 Miles

Detail

Experience the three things the Highlands of Scotland do best, Whisky, Gin and Beer on this 8 hour experience.

We will depart Inverness and take you on an alcohol inspired tour of the local area visiting Tomatin Distillery, Kinrara Gin Distillery and finally The Black Isle Brewery beer tour.
After picking you up we will head out of Inverness for a quick glimpse to the famous Culloden Battlefield where the last civil war took place on UK Soil on April 16th 1746, then head down the road to visit the Neolithic Clava Cairns before we head down to our first tour of the day which will be Tomatin Whisky Distillery, maybe a bit early for some however why not have a wee dram in the morning!

After leaving Tomatin Distillery we will then head south down to Aviemore where we will take the second tour of the day at the amazingly stunning Kinrara Gin Distillery, this tour and chat about Gin is absolutely fantastic and is conducted by great folk who are not only knowledgeable but fun and interactive and will make you feel very welcome.

After the gin distillery tour i think you will need some lunch to soak up the morning alcohol so we will then head into Aviemore village for some lunch to hopefully sober up a wee bit before heading out of Aviemore to visit Loch an Eilean to stretch your legs and work off your lunch, here at Loch an Eilean you will see a wee castle on an island which was the home to the Wolf of Badenoch – Alexander Stewart, Earl of Buchan (1343 – July 1394), was the fourth surviving son of King Robert II of Scotland by his first wife Elizabeth Mure. Also a few scenes from the Movie The Outlaw King was filmed at this loch and Ryan your guide playing a small background part in this particular scene in this movie.

After Loch an Eilean we head North back through Inverness and over the Kessock Bridge over the Moray Firth to the Black Isle where we will make our way to the Black Isle Brewery where you will have a short 15 minute tour of the brewery and taste some beer with an option to buy some bottles to take home with you.
We will then leave the Brewery and head back to Inverness where we will drop you back off at your accommodation
