Photography Tour/Workshop. ONLY AVAILABLE FROM OCTOBER UNTIL MARCH 31ST

Come on an adventure on our 1 day photography tour to the stunning Torridon and Kinlochewe area of the West Highlands of Scotland for an unforgettable photography tour where we will take you to the best locations in Kinlochewe and Torridon, and where you will be able to capture those calendar shots.

We will pick you up from your hotel or arranged pick up point in our Nissan SUV which has plenty of space for you and your camera gear where you will travel in luxury out to Kinlochewe, here we will wander the ancient Scots pine forest capturing unique compositions within the forest and views over to the great Slioch mountain and Loch Maree.

We will then head over towards Torridon stopping off at the Coulin Estate capturing the iconic Loch Clair looking towards Beinn Eighe and also some other compositions around the estate, *if we are lucky we will be driven up through the estate to capture shots where no others have been before. (*Subject to availability at the time of arrival)

We will then grab some lunch either supplied by us or at the local cafe (cafe food and drinks paid for by you) if it is open, then head over to Torridon, Shieldaig and or Diabaig to capture some amazing vistas, small hidden lochans with views out to the Western Isles. We will then drive you back to your hotel where you can get a well earned rest.

Due to this tour being in a remote location at times cafes and eating places are few and far between we will provide soup, sandwiches, tea and coffee to keep us going until we return to Inverness.

As the locations we visit can be very much out of the way at times,  general fitness would be an advantage as the walks and hikes could be up to 2 miles at times with varying degrees of terrains with ground level changes, so you must be in relatively good health and fitness, carrying a backpack with camera equipment and essential water supply can get demanding at times in certain locations, however not all locations are up hill and strenuous. It is also a good idea to come prepared for the weather, even in the summer months the weather can catch you out, so a waterproof jacket would be a good idea and also some decent footwear is a must, (come prepared!)

If you have any health or medical issues which you feel may affect your ability to walk long distances or are on any medication which you feel we need to know about please do let us know whilst booking the tour so that we can accommodate and make sure that we do not walk to far off the beaten track and wear you out! We will be very happy to change plans slightly to accommodate if need be so do not be afraid to let us know so that we can discuss your abilities.

The tours can be very early starts especially in the Spring and Summer months due to the sun rising at such early times so be prepared to set your alarm at an unearthly hour! *Tours can last from 6 to 12  hours, weather, light and seasons permitting but you will get a great deal out of the tours whether it is a 6, 10 or 12 hour tour.  *Tour hours can vary depending on weather, light and fitness levels.

If you would like another tour with Sgùrr Tours at anytime during your visit or in the future we will give you a 10% Discount on your next tour and also a 10% Discount for any shop items sold on our online shop. 🙂

*Please note that this is a photography tour and not standard guided tour. This tour is suited to amateur and professional photographers who wish to be taken to a single location to explore and shoot the beautiful landscapes of Wester Ross who own a DSLR or Mirrorless camera. It also includes any tuition if you are new to photography.

Kinlochewe Torridon Photography Tour / Workshop – FROM OCTOBER UNTIL MARCH 31ST

My wife and I took this tour, and we had a wonderfully memorable experience. Ryan took us to many magical ‘secret spots’ that we would have never found otherwise. On top of that the depth and breadth of his knowledge about the history and story of the places we visited added great value to our experience and made us appreciate them much more. Ryan was also sincerely kind and genuine, and we are now proud to call him our friend. We would whole heartedly recommend Ryan / Sgurr Tour to anyone who wants to experience the hidden marvels and beauty of Scotland.
