Booking a tour should feel exciting, not confusing. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions about our Inverness day tours, including how our tours work, what’s included, and what to expect on the day.
If you’re unsure whether one of our tours is right for you, chances are the answer is below. And if not, we’re always happy to help just get in touch and ask.
As these are private tours, we offer door-to-door service. We can pick you up and drop you off at any accommodation, airport, or train station within the Inverness area. If you are staying further afield, please contact us for a custom quote.
Standard departure times are listed on each tour page (usually between 07:30 and 08:45). However, because this is your private tour, we can adjust the start time to suit your schedule just let us know in advance.
Our luxury Mercedes-Benz V-Class comfortably seats up to 7 passengers. As these are private bookings, the price is for the vehicle and guide, whether you are a solo traveler or a group of seven.
The price includes your kilted local guide, luxury transport in our Mercedes V-Class, fuel, bottled water, and local snacks.
The price does not include entrance fees to castles or attractions, lunch, or ferry crossings (unless specifically stated). This allows you the flexibility to choose which sites you want to enter and where you’d like to eat. However we do offer the sale of tickets at checkout and we will book the tickets on your behalf and the cost will be added to your tour total.
Scottish weather is famous for changing quickly! We recommend "layering up" and bringing a waterproof jacket and comfortable walking shoes. Even on a summer day, a light sweater is a good idea.
While we have a planned route for each tour to ensure you see the best sights, the beauty of a private tour is flexibility. If you want to spend longer at a specific castle or skip a stop to take more photos, just tell your guide.
We understand that plans can change. Full refunds are available for cancellations made at least 14 days before your tour date. For cancellations within 14 days, please refer to our full Terms of Service. You can cancel or change your date through the client portal.
Tours will go ahead in most weather conditions, the Highlands are often at their most atmospheric in the mist and rain! If conditions are deemed dangerous (such as extreme snow or high winds), we will contact you to reschedule or provide a full refund.
Yes, we welcome families! For safety and legal reasons, please let us know the ages of any children at the time of booking so we can ensure the correct car seats are provided.
